Svart is one of the most ambitious hotel projects in the world, set at the foot of the Svartisen glacier in northern Norway, just above the Arctic Circle. Designed by Snøhetta, the hotel aims to be the world's first energy-positive hotel, reducing its annual energy consumption by approximately 85% compared to a modern hotel while producing its own energy through solar panels. The circular structure extends from the shoreline into the Holandsfjorden fjord, inspired by traditional Norwegian vernacular architecture, and is built on weather-resistant wooden poles that minimize its environmental footprint on the surrounding pristine landscape.

Svart is a hotel brand in its own right, conceived as a pioneering model for sustainable luxury hospitality, where world-class design, Arctic wilderness, and a zero-compromise approach to energy and ecology come together.

Aspire Hospitality is leading the project at the concept level, driving brand and operator selection and overseeing hotel development. Nomante supports engagement by contributing hospitality expertise throughout the development process.
